AI For Trades

Privacy

AI For Trades (Matthew Scott Bryan, ABN 40 394 629 030, Manunda QLD) builds and runs job and report tools for trade businesses. This page explains what happens to information when you visit this website and when a business uses the AI For Trades app.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

The free business check on this website runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or stored anywhere. If you choose "Email my plan to Matt", your own email app opens with your results filled in, and nothing is sent unless you press send.

The app

The app is for invited business clients. We keep the business's name, the sign-in email of each person who uses it, and the job details they enter, so the app can do its job.

Google Drive

When a business owner connects Google Drive, AI For Trades asks Google for access only to the files and folders the app creates, or that the owner picks for it (the "drive.file" permission), plus the owner's email address to show which account is connected. It can't see the rest of the Drive.

We use that access only to save and update the business's own job folders, photos and reports. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How it's protected

The access key Google gives us is encrypted and stored in Australia (Sydney). Sign-in to AI For Trades needs two-step verification. Job details passed through our system are deleted within 30 days unless the business asks us to keep them longer. The business's own files stay in its own Drive.

Switching it off

The owner can tap Disconnect in the app, or remove AI For Trades at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Either one ends our access straight away, and we delete our copy of the access key.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
